Nextel appoints Rosenberg director of marketing

Nextel Communications appointed Ellis R. Rosenberg director of marketing for the wireless carrier's Bethesda-based mid-Atlantic area. The Wharton School and University of Maryland graduate will oversee advertising, public relations, pricing, product introduction and promotions.

Hilliard is marketing chief for Comcast Online

Comcast Online Communications named Carrie Hilliard as marketing coordinator for the White Marsh Comcast Cable unit. She will conduct daily marketing activity, planning and customer service support. A University of Maryland graduate, she formerly was an account executive with TBC Direct of Baltimore.

Delise is vice president at Reeves for media sales

The Reeves Agency appointed Christine Sarames Delise vice president, media sales. She will supervise all aspects of media services for the Baltimore marketing communications firm. A graduate of Fordham University, she previously was a media supervisor for N. W. Ayer & Partners.

Dana Mayer vice president at Crosby Marketing

Crosby Marketing Communications hired Dana Mayer as a vice president. She will head its new division, the strategies advisory group for employers. Honored with numerous industry awards and commendations, she was a group vice president for FTI Consulting before joining the Annapolis agency.

Banking and finance

Goldstein, Reid take posts with Bank of Maryland

Bank of Maryland named Michael Goldstein and Richard Reid vice presidents and relationship managers.

Goldstein, assigned to the commercial lending department, was a vice president of Sterling Bank & Trust. An Owings Mills resident, he attended the University of Baltimore and is a member of the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce.

Reid, who lives in Towson, is a former vice president of First Union National Bank, an MBA graduate of Loyola College and member of the Maryland Club.

Legal and insurance

Lawyer Paul J. Burt joins Gordon, Feinblatt

Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander admitted Paul J. Burt to the Baltimore law firm as an associate. He will practice in Gordon, Feinblatt's real estate group.

A University of Maryland law graduate, Burt was a vice president with the Saul Center of Chevy Chase. He is a member of the Maryland Bar Association and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Health care

Magellan Behavioral names Beaudin vice president

Magellan Behavioral Health named Christy L. Beaudin as vice president of research and development. She will be responsible for the company's research enterprise and focus on establishing and maintaining linkages with universities, institutes and other research organizations.

Beaudin, who holds a doctorate in health services from UCLA, most recently was vice president for quality management for Value Behavioral Health and was president of CL Beaudin & Associates in California.

She is a member of the Association for Health Services Research, the American Public Health Association, the National Association for Healthcare Quality and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Commercial real estate

Struever names Burnett director of marketing, PR

Struever Bros., Eccles & Rouse named Heather L. Burnett director of marketing and public relations. She will direct the firm's marketing, communications and event-planning activity.

Before joining the Baltimore commercial property developer, Burnett was marketing director for TeleSpectrum Worldwide of Pennsylvania.
