A performance by Broadway star James Naughton turned out to be just the ticket for the 13th annual Center Stage Presents gala. After enjoying songs and backstage stories by the two-time Tony Award winner, the standing-room-only crowd sat down to dinner. Dessert and dancing followed.

Among the 510 patrons packing the theater: Peter W. Culman, Center Stage managing director; Irene Lewis, artistic director; Jim Brady, president of the board of trustees; Nancy Roche, past president; Carole Goldberg, event committee chair; T. Edward Hambleton, Lynn Deering, Carol Parham and Dr. Murray M. Kappelman, board members; Lori Kranz, founder of Splitting Image Theatre Company; Bud Meyerhoff, philanthropist; and George Sherman, president and CEO of Danaher Corp.

The sellout event raised more than $157,000 for Center Stage's artistic and education programs.
