Man in critical condition after shooting in Pasadena

April 16, 1999|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

A Glen Burnie man was in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday after he was shot Wednesday evening, Anne Arundel County police said.

Louis D. Brown, 21, was struck by a bullet in the lower torso as he walked toward a building in the 7800 block of Shirley Murphy Court.

Brown drove to the Freetown neighborhood with a group of friends late Wednesday night, police said. When their vehicle developed a flat tire, they walked toward a building in Pasadena to get help.

Brown was shot by a young man standing with a group of people in front of the building, police said. Brown told police he saw one of the men holding a large silver handgun. County police say they know of no motive in the shooting.

A state police helicopter transported Brown to Shock Trauma.
