Schedule: Today-Sunday.

Course: Harbour Town Golf Links (6,916 yards, par 71).

Purse: $2.5 million.

Winner's share: $450,000.

TV: The Golf Channel (today, 1: 30-4 p.m.; tomorrow, 4-6: 30 p.m.) and CBS (Saturday-Sunday, 3-6 p.m.).

Last year: Davis Love routed the field, winning by seven strokes over Glen Day.

Last week: Jose Maria Olazabal won his second Masters by two strokes over Love. Olazabal never three-putted in the tournament.

Notes: Tiger Woods makes his first career appearance at the MCI Classic. Love looks to join an exclusive club by winning a single PGA event five times. Love won in 1987, 1991-92 and last year. Sam Snead holds the record with eight wins at the Greater Greensboro Open. World No. 1-ranked David Duval is taking the week off. Olazabal moved to No. 19 in the World Golf rankings with his win at Augusta, Ga. Love trails No. 2 Woods by just 0.17.

Senior PGA Tour

PGA Seniors Championship

Site: Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Schedule: Today-Sunday.

Course: PGA National Golf Club (6,702 yards, par 72).

Purse: $1.75 million.

Winner's share: $315,000.

TV: ESPN (today, noon-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m.; Friday, noon-4 p.m.) and NBC (Saturday, 1-4 p.m.; Sunday, noon-3 p.m.).

Last year: Hale Irwin won his third consecutive PGA Seniors by seven strokes over Larry Nelson.

Last week: No event scheduled.

Notes: No player has won a Senior PGA Tour event four consecutive times. Irwin, Chi Chi Rodriguez (1986-88 Digital Seniors Classic), Bob Charles (1987-89 Sunwest Bank Classic) and George Archer (1990-92 Long Island Classic) have won the same event three consecutive times.
