Jean Vander Pyl,79, the voice of Wilma Flintstone, whose trademark yell, "Fre-e-e-ed," was heard in living rooms around the world as she shouted at her husband in the popular television cartoon series, died of lung cancer Saturday in Dana Point, Calif., her son said Tuesday. She also did the voices of Pebbles and Mrs. Slate.

Levi Ben Levy, 64, the head rabbi of the Israelite Board of Rabbis for the Western Hemisphere, died of leukemia Friday in New York. The board serves black Hebrew Israelites, as those Jews prefer to be called.
