Princeton scores six straight goals in third period, hands Penn 9-8 loss

B.J. Prager's goal with 11: 10 left broke a 7-7 tie and No. 10 Princeton held on to defeat Pennsylvania, 9-8, last night in an Ivy League men's lacrosse game in Philadelphia.

It was the third straight one-goal loss for the Quakers (5-4, 1-3).

The Tigers (3-3, 2-0) trailed 7-3 midway through the third period before scoring six consecutive goals. Princeton's Matt Stiebel tied the game at 7 with a goal late in the third quarter.

Todd Minerley led Penn with four goals.

Salisbury State 18, Marymount 4: The Sea Gulls (10-1) scored 12 consecutive goals, including nine in the third period, on their way to the Capital Athletic Conference win in Arlington, Va.
