Harney Volunteer Fire Company installed new officers at its annual banquet.
They are Donald Yingling Sr., fire chief; James Waybright, president; John Harner, vice president; Richard Yingling, secretary; Leonard Bowers, treasurer; Adam Brown, assistant treasurer; Robert Baughman, recording secretary; George Clingan, chaplain.
The county fire convention delegates are Richard Yingling and Elwood Strickhouser. Trustee is Lee Bowers.
The fire company received a $5,000 donation from the Ladies Auxiliary toward a new fire engine.

New Windsor: Firefighters from New Windsor, Winfield and Westminster responded to a house fire in the 2600 block of Marston Road at 10: 08 p.m Sunday. Units were out 48 minutes.
Union Bridge: Firefighters from Union Bridge and New Windsor assisted Frederick County at a barn fire on Coppermine Road at 5: 41 p.m. Sunday. Units were out 17 minutes.
New Windsor: Firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 2: 33 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Routes 75 and 84. Units were out 15 minutes.
