South Carroll High honors 3 teachers

April 01, 1999

The South Carroll High School Student Government Association has named three teachers of the month for January.

Special education teacher Jerome Ellis, agriculture teacher Lori Powell and science teacher Cindy Perouty-Byrne were honored.

Ellis was chosen for his involvement in school activities and dedication to his students. He has taught special education for 10 years and helped coach football for 18 years.

Powell helps the SGA by making boutonnieres and corsages for the Teacher of the Month program; a student made hers. She makes floral arrangements for school activities and advises the Future Farmers of America.

Perouty-Byrne has taught biology and ecology at the school for almost 15 years. She also was Teacher of the Month in April 1998.
