March 19, 1999|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

The Sisters of St. Joseph -- a Roman Catholic order of nuns that arrived in Maryland in 1874 -- celebrate their 125th anniversary with the Archdiocese of Baltimore today.

The sisters will mark the day -- the traditional feast day of St. Joseph and their order throughout the world -- by gathering at Bon Secours Spiritual Center in Marriottsville.

The event will be highlighted by a Eucharistic Liturgy at 7 p.m. in the Bon Secours chapel followed by a reception. Bishop P. Francis Murphy will preside.
