Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southern District

Bank robbery: A man who gave a teller a holdup note robbed First Union Bank in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. of an undisclosed sum of money about noon yesterday. No weapon was displayed. Detective William Berents said the man, who drove away in a car, left behind identification. Berents said the car, which was found 10 minutes later parked in the 1000 block of Edmondson Ave., belonged to a friend of the suspect and was not stolen. He said the suspect was charged in a warrant with a federal bank robbery offense. Berents declined to identify the man, saying only that he was a city resident.

Southwestern District

Robbery/assault: A male, 17, was in the 100 block of N. Kossuth St. about 10 p.m. Tuesday when two teen-age males, one armed with a handgun, struck him with their fists and the weapon, and robbed him of a leather coat and pager, all valued at more than $250. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Eastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A man, 31, struggled with a gunman during an attempted robbery in the 2200 block of E. Fayette St. about 3: 10 p.m. yesterday and was shot in the right forearm and right jaw. The gunman and an accomplice fled. Sgt. Johnny Delgado said the victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital for minor wounds and released.

Shooting: A man, 36, was in the 1100 block of Greenmount Ave. about 7 p.m. Tuesday when he heard several gunshots. He began to run but fell, after he was shot in both legs. He was in good condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. It was not known if he was an intended target.

Central District

Burglary: Four laptop computers valued at nearly $7,000 were stolen from an office at Greater Baltimore Alliance in the 100 block of S. Calvert St. between Friday and Monday. Police found no signs of forced entry.

Burglary: A thief entered through a skylight Monday and stole cash, pagers and pager accessories from D.C.I. Cellular One in the 300 block of N. Howard St.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Assault/arrests: Two teen-age males have been arrested and charged as adults with first-degree assault in the pistol-whipping of another teen-age male Monday in a fast-food restaurant in the 500 block of Frederick Ave. The victim was treated at St. Agnes HealthCare for head injuries and released. Keith Eskridge, 17, and James Brandon, 16, both of the 100 block of Cherrydell Road, were being held on combined bail of $75,000.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen vehicle: A 1996 Nissan Pathfinder with tags 859235M was stolen Tuesday in the 3600 block of Lochearn Drive.

Stolen car: A blue four-door 1986 Toyota Corolla with tags FDK 5551 was stolen Tuesday in the 200 block of Owings Gate Court.
