New Windsor fire company installs officers at banquet

The New Windsor Fire and Hose Company installed new officers at its recent annual banquet.

Administrative officers are Drew Strine, president; Richard Hooper, vice president; Jack Coe, treasurer; Jay Gullo, assistant treasurer; Gail Hooper, corresponding secretary; Penny Strine, assistant corresponding secretary; Barbara Blacksten, financial secretary; Thomas Holland, assistant financial secretary; and Neal Roop, chaplain.

Line officers are Ronnie Blacksten, fire chief; Rick Fritz, assistant fire chief; Byron Welker, captain; Jeff Blacksten, lieutenant; Jeff Lease, second lieutenant; Scott Lowman, ambulance captain; Thomas Coe, ambulance lieutenant; Felix Hill, second ambulance lieutenant.

Apparatus foremen are Dale L. Lowman, Wayne Strohm, Engine 101; Mike Moser, Kevin Kreimer, Engine 102; Dale Allen Lowman, David Coe, John Obrecht, Engine 105; Donald Kinna, Steve Strawsburg Sr., Utility 10; Penny Strine, Jess Denning, Ambulance 109.

Directors are Ed Palsgrove, Steve Kreimer, Richard Warrenfeltz, Edgar Wentz, Richard Hooper, Tom Holland, Wayne Blacksten, Jerry Lease, William Kreimer. Carroll County Firemen's Association delegates are George Petry and Gene Smith.

Ladies Auxiliary officers are Mary Magruder, president; Lillian Coe, vice president; Dorothy Rue, Mildred Wolfe, assistant corresponding secretary; Catherine Grabill, financial secretary; Kitty Green, assistant financial secretary; Debbie Hossler, treasurer; Mary Smith, assistant treasurer; Rebecca Harman, chaplain; Catherine Dodd, assistant chaplain; Edith Franklin, historian; Madeleine Weller, assistant historian; Mary Warehime and Joan Hess, color bearers.

Junior Fire Department officers are Christina Clarius, president; Chris Palsgrove, vice president and treasurer; Amanda Cavin, secretary; Greg Keseling, captain; Justin Barrett, lieutenant; Brian Keseling, Emergency Medical Services captain; Tom Taggart, EMS lieutenant.

Fires

Pleasant Valley: Firefighters from Pleasant Valley, Littlestown and Kingsdale, Pa., responded at 9: 37 p.m. Wednesday to an electrical fire in the 4800 block of Turkey Foot Road. Units were out 50 minutes.

Pleasant Valley: Firefighters from Pleasant Valley, Taneytown and Littlestown, Pa., responded at 5: 27 p.m. Wednesday to a chimney fire in the 2500 block of Stone Road. Units were out one hour.
