Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Shootings: Two men were shot about 7 p.m. yesterday in a house in the 5000 block of Cordelia Ave. in Pimlico. One man was treated at Sinai Hospital, and the other at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Their conditions were not available. Police were seeking the occupants of a Toyota with tags EPD 764 in the shooting.

Eastern District

Abduction/robbery: Two men -- one armed with a handgun and the other a knife -- forced a 78-year-old man from his home in the 1300 block of N. Linwood Ave. about 11 a.m. Wednesday and drove him to a bank in the first block of St. Paul St. There, they threatened to harm him if he did not give them money from his accounts. The victim took $7,000 from two accounts and gave it to the robbers. They warned him not to call police and fled on foot.

Southwestern District

Shooting/arrest: A man was arrested Wednesday night and charged with attempted murder in the shooting of his son. Police said the men were arguing when the son left their home in the 300 block of Lyndhurst St. When the son returned about 8: 30 p.m., he was unable to open the front door and started yelling for his father to open it. Police said the son was shot once in the chest with a small-caliber handgun when the father opened the door. The son was in critical condition last night at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. William James Butler, 66, was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center. A handgun was recovered.

Southern District

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 1400 block of Andre St. through a front door Wednesday and stole nearly $2,000.

Baltimore County

Towson Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one armed with a large-caliber semiautomatic handgun, took several hundred dollars from Edy's Ice Cream in the 6900 block of York Road about 9: 30 p.m. Wednesday. They also robbed a female patron of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at about $20.

Burglary: A pearl necklace valued at $1,000 and more than $160 were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the Hampton Plaza apartments in the 300 block of E. Joppa Road. Police said the thief gained entry by telling a resident he was there to repair floor tiles. No apartment has tiled floors.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Two handguns valued at more than $800 were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 8400 block of Morven Road.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Computer equipment, compact discs, videotapes and a television were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 3800 block of Southern Cross Drive.

Burglary: Someone used a rock to break the front glass window at the CVS pharmacy in the 8300 block of Liberty Road overnight Tuesday, entered the store and stole 17 packs of cigarettes.
