Baltimore City

Southwestern District

Shootings/arrest: A male, 17, was charged as an adult yesterday with two counts of attempted murder in shootings that occurred minutes apart Tuesday, said Detective Frank M. Zapushek. In the first incident a man, 33, was shot in the groin and right leg about 8: 30 p.m. when he complained of noise coming from outside his home in the 2500 block of W. Fairmount Ave. Minutes later, a male, 16, was shot in neck for no apparent reason in the 2500 block of W. Fayette St. near the suspect's residence. The man was in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where the 16-year-old was in critical condition. Juan Donte Hester, of the 2500 block of W. Fayette St. was also charged with assault, possession of a deadly weapon and possession of suspected cocaine and marijuana. He was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center.

Stolen car: A dark-blue 1987 Chevrolet with tags DST 482 was stolen Tuesday in the 800 block of Mount Holly St.

Central District

Robbery: A boy, 7, was riding his bicycle in the 1000 block of Tiffany Court about 6: 30 p.m. Tuesday when two older boys knocked him to the ground and took the bike.

Theft from vehicle: Baseball equipment valued at $1,000 was stolen Tuesday from a car parked in the 700 block of E. Pratt St.

Eastern District

Robbery/abduction: A deliveryman was in the 900 block of E. 22nd St. about 2: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman forced him back into the truck, robbed him of several hundred dollars and ordered him to drive away. Several blocks from the scene, the gunman fled on foot.

Hit and run: Police were seeking the driver of a 1984 Mercury with tags FUR 225 who struck a man about 12: 30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. and failed to stop. The victim suffered leg and back injuries and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southern District

Theft: Two men entered the Downtown Locker Room in the 1200 block of W. Pratt St. Tuesday and stole jackets, shirts and boots, all valued at more than $1,000.

Robbery: Three men were in the rear of the 800 block of Carroll St. about 4 p.m. Tuesday when five men, one with a handgun, robbed them of cash and property, all valued at more than $400.

Robbery: A man was about to leave Eddie's Super Market in the 1200 block of Light St. without paying for meat valued at more than $20 when a store employee tried to stop him. During a struggle, the thief struck the employee and escaped.

Theft: A man stole four ADC map books and several maps, all valued at more than $70, from a display Tuesday at the Royal Farm store in the 3600 block of Potee St.

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 4200 block of Thayer Court on Tuesday and stole a watch valued at $800.

Northern District

Stolen vehicle: A black 1996 Jeep Cherokee with tags 911114M was stolen Tuesday in the 700 block of W. 41st St.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A tow-truck driver was stopped at Belclare Road and Dundalk Avenue about noon Tuesday when a man engaged him in conversation, then pulled a knife and robbed him of $70.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary/arrest: A man entered a house in the first block of Loomis Court on Tuesday and stole a camera, video games and jewelry. He was found hiding in a nearby house and arrested, and the property was recovered.

Burglary: A microphone and $2 were stolen Tuesday from Reisterstown Seventh-day Adventist Church in the first block of Berrymans Lane. The thief entered through a ground-level window.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 3900 block of Springdell Road overnight Monday and stole a pedigree show rabbit valued at $150.
