'Images of Black Men'

February 11, 1999|By John Dorsey

Six African-American professional artists from Maryland, Washington and Virginia depict black men from both historical and personal perspectives in "Images of Black Men," the current exhibit at the art gallery on the Dundalk campus of the Community College of Baltimore County. According to curator Lillian Archer, some of the works were created especially for the show. Three of the artists, Chad Cortez Everett, Enise Carr and Stephon Senegal, are painters; the other three, Tamara Lee Jones, Barbara Pietila and Janet Waters Bailey, are quilters.

The show is at the CCBC Dundalk Art Gallery, in the College Community Center, 7200 Sollers Point Road, through Feb. 26, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays. For information, call 410-285-9792.
