Baltimore County police are seeking two men in the beating and rape of a Middle River woman and the robbery and beating of her male companion in Essex in the early morning of Jan. 23.

The men offered rides to the victims at 2 a.m. from My Friends Tavern on Woodrow Avenue, off South Marlyn Avenue.

The wanted men, who had been seen previously at the bar by patrons, drove the man and woman to an isolated, wooded area near Schaffers Road, where the male victim was beaten with a blunt object, robbed and left behind.

As one man drove, the other restrained the woman in the back seat. Shortly afterward, the driver was photographed by a surveillance camera while entering a store for cigarettes.

The two men then drove to a secluded area at the dead end of Stahl Road, where the woman was beaten and raped.

Police described the man photographed by the surveillance camera as white, in his 30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall and 200 pounds, with long brown hair in a ponytail. He had a close-cut beard and mustache.

The second man was described as white, in his 30s, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slim build and close-cropped blond hair in a "fade" cut.

Anyone with information about the men is asked to call county police at 410-887-2198.
