Delegate Dobson taken to hospital for chest discomfort

February 06, 1999|BY A SUN STAFF WRITER

Del. Michael V. Dobson of Northeast Baltimore was admitted to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis yesterday after complaining of chest discomfort, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

Dobson was in stable condition last night. He was taken to the hospital emergency room by ambulance about 1 p.m. after seeking medical assistance from a nurse at the State House, sources said.

Dobson, a Democrat, was appointed last year to serve out the term of former Del. Gerald J. Curran, who resigned in March amid an ethics committee investigation into his business dealings.

Dobson was elected to a four-year term in November.
