Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Southeastern District

Burglary: A Smith & Wesson 9 mm semiautomatic handgun, 50 rounds of 9 mm ammunition and $250 were stolen yesterday from a house in the 6700 block of Pine Ave.

Robbery: A man, 34, was in the 600 block of S. Montford Ave. about 2: 30 a.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of a pager valued at $100.

Southern District

Theft from vehicle/arrest: A cellular phone, gym bag and several compact discs were stolen from a Jeep Cherokee parked Sunday in the 600 block of Portland St. After police received information about a possible suspect a short time later, police arrested a man and recovered the property. Michael Bell, 35, of the 300 block of E. North Ave. was charged with theft.

Robbery: A woman, 26, was in the 1300 block of Williams St. about 2 a.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed her of her purse containing cash and personal property, all valued at $45.

Assault: Two women were fighting Sunday in the 800 block of Jeffrey St. when one cut the other on the right hand with a razor blade. The victim refused medical treatment, and the other woman was being sought.

Eastern District

Robbery: A man, 20, was walking in the 2200 block of E. Eager St. about 3 a.m. Sunday when two men, one with a metal pipe, struck him several times with the pipe and their fists and robbed him of $20.

Northern District

Carjacking: The driver of a four-door beige 1996 Ford Taurus gave four men a ride from Pennsylvania Avenue in West Baltimore about 9: 30 p.m. Sunday to the 400 block of Exeter Hall Ave. There, one of the riders pulled a handgun and forced the driver from the car. The men drove off in the car with tags NM6 58Y.

Theft from vehicle: A briefcase, baby formula and other property, all valued at more than $100, were stolen Sunday from a 1990 Chevrolet parked in the 3000 block of Frisby St.

Baltimore County

Wilkens Precinct

Assault/arrest: A cashier at the Wal-Mart discount store in the 6200 block of Baltimore National Pike was arrested about 5 p.m. yesterday after a female customer was slashed on the neck with a box cutter. Police said the cashier, 29, saw two women, whom she had charged in warrants with assaulting her in November, at another cashier's station and confronted them. During an altercation, the cashier allegedly cut one of the women on the neck, causing a 4-inch laceration. The cashier allegedly cut the store manager on the hand when he tried to break up the fight. The cashier was arrested and was being processed at the Wilkens Precinct. The injured woman was treated at Bon Secours Hospital. The manager refused medical treatment.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: A woman was at North Plaza Mall in the 8800 block of Waltham Woods Road about 12: 30 p.m. yesterday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrests: Two East Baltimore women in their early 20s were arrested Sunday when they tried to leave the J. C. Penney department store in the 7700 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for baby clothes, valued at more than $300.

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 7500 block of Lang St. through a basement window overnight Saturday and stole more than $400.
