Steve Glascow scored 13 points and John Alascio added 12 as struggling River Hill pulled off last night's big upset, a 61-45 win over No. 17-ranked Glenelg in Howard County play.

The Hawks, who shot 14 for 18 at the line, never trailed to improve to 2-8 on the season.

Glenelg's Eric Brelend led all scorers with 14 points. Curan Oates and Brandon Robertson, both of Glenelg, had two three-pointers each. The Gladiators fell to 6-3 in the league.

No. 5 Calvert Hall 72, Cardinal Gibbons 50: The Cardinals' Reggie Bryant led all scorers with 21 points, and Tim Knapp added 12 points for Calvert Hall in the Catholic League victory over Cardinal Gibbons. The Cardinals started the game with a 13-0 run and never trailed.

No. 8 Meade 73, South River 62: Foward Jeff Charles scored 23 points to lead the Mustangs at South River. With the score tied at 49 after three quarters, the Mustangs scored 24 points in the last quarter to lock up the win. Terrel Ross contributed 17 points and Doug Underwood added 14. South River guard Shawn Tasker scored 22 points.

No. 11 McDonogh 58, Severn 46: Senior David Lunn netted a game-high 24 points to lead the Eagles (15-4). Trailing late in the third quarter, Lunn's work sparked the Eagles to a 15-0 run. Junior guard Owen Daly added 11 points as McDonogh pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Severn senior Kyle Hyland scored 17.

No. 19 Catonsville 75, Parkville 59: Steve Remesch's 14 points in the first half, 20 overall, led the host Comets (12-1, 9-0). William Augustono grabbed eight rebounds, and Jason Yachera scored 12 points and had seven rebounds for the winners.

Bobby Aramideh's 15 points off five three-pointers, three in the fourth period, led Parkville.

Milford Mill 64, Randallstown 61: Junior guard Chad Mickens' last-second three-pointer with the score tied at 61 gave the Millers a thrilling victory in this battle of Liberty Road rivals.

Mickens had 12 points and senior forward Kevin Smith scored 14 for the Millers.

Randallstown foward Gary Nevedan led all scorers with 25.

Chesapeake-BC 55, Kenwood 51: Charles Hawes' 22 points helped the host Bayhawks end a six-year, 11-game drought against the Bluebirds. The game was tied at 27 at halftime.
