'Oh My Goddess'

January 28, 1999|By J. Wynn Rousuck

'Sherry Glaser, whose show ``Family Secrets'' played to sold-out audiences at the Gordon Center last year, returns Saturday with her latest one-woman show, ``Oh My Goddess.''

The new show is described as a combination of feminist theology, Buddhism, Jewish mysticism and a satirical take on pop culture. In it, Glaser portrays two characters - a Latino waiter named Miguel and the spirit he channels, that of Ma, the great Jewish mother who is co-creator of the universe.

``Oh My Goddess'' will be presented for one performance only, at 8 p.m. Saturday. The Gordon Center for Performing Arts is at 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., Owings Mills. Tickets are $22. Call 410-481-7328 or 410-356-7469.
