'Charlotte's Web'

Cultivate your imagination when Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa., becomes a child's garden of delights filled with activities during its Fabulous Fun Days for Families. Sunday through April 17, entertainment encompassing musical theater, a four-hand piano performance and sing-alongs with children's songwriters is in store to chase away the winter doldrums and welcome the warmth of spring.

Fabulous Fun Days spins into action Sunday with two performances of ``Charlotte's Web,'' 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Wilbur is a pig with a problem. Enter Charlotte, the small gray spider, a fine writer and true friend.

Other Fun Day performances include ``In My Home Town,'' with contemporary folk personality Tom Chapin, Feb. 6; the picture book ``Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile'' comes to life in a musical production Feb. 13; ``Grandparents Day'' concert with Red Grammar, March 6; ``East Meets West,'' a piano and rhythm program, March 13; ``A Little Princess,'' presented by the ArtsPower National Touring Theatre, March 27; and ``Dreamosaurus With the Dinosaur Babies,'' a musical theater puppet performance, April 17.

Each event takes place in the 1920s Conservatory Ballroom. Performance tickets include gardens admission and are $13, $7 ages 16-20, and $5 ages 1-15. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Longwood Gardens is on U.S. 1 in the historic Brandywine Valley. Call 610-388-1000.
