WASHINGTON -- Senior forward Schuye Larue scored 20 points, Candace Wilkins had 13 and Latissha Isby added 12 yesterday to help Archbishop Carroll (D.C.) get by mistake-prone St. Mary's, 60-56, in the DeMatha Invitational at MCI Center.

The Saints (13-2), ranked second in metro Baltimore, kept itclose despite 26 turnovers. The teams were fairly even shooting from the floor, on free throws, and on the boards, but the turnovers proved costly for St. Mary's.

The Saints, down 32-26 at halftime, cut the deficit to one point with just over a minute to play, but a turnover cost them the ball and a chance to take the lead. The Lions (10-3) clinched the win on the foul line.

Senior guard Maria Smear scored 18 points -- her season average -- to lead the Saints. Terri Daniels added 11 points and Felicia Holloway scored 10 points and had 13 rebounds.
