Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Shooting: Three men were sitting on an electric transformer on a parking lot in the 3300 block of Woodland Ave. about 11: 55 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a car that stopped nearby got out and fired several shots at them. The gunman drove off. One man, 23, was shot in the left arm and was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Northern District

Shooting: A man, 35, was in the 900 block of St. Dunstans Road about 9: 30 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a white Volkswagen left the vehicle, forced him to the ground, kicked him in the face and shot him twice. The gunman drove off. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital for a bullet wound to the right hip, a graze wound to the head and contusions of the upper body.

Burglary: Two .38 caliber Smith & Wesson handguns valued at more than $500 were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 500 block of E. 43rd St.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 27, was standing next to a car parked in the 600 block of E. Chase St. about 11 p.m. Wednesday when the driver of a passing car fired several shots from a handgun, hitting him in the head and hand. He was in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Western District

Shooting: A neighborhood dispute was the motive for the shooting about 4: 10 p.m. Wednesday of a man, 36, in the 1800 block of W. Franklin St. Police said he was shot in the left arm by a gunman and was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center. A suspect was being sought.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrest: A Baltimore man, 38, was arrested Wednesday when he attempted to leave the Value City department store in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. without paying for boots valued at $50.

Robbery: Two men struck a man, 41, in the face and robbed him of $30 in the first block of Center Place in Dundalk on Wednesday. The victim suffered an injury to his right eye.

Theft/arrest: An East Baltimore woman was arrested Wednesday when she attempted to leave the Kmart store in the 200 block of North Point Road without paying for items valued at nearly $380. Clothing, headache medication, wash cloths, towels, several bottles of deodorant, pajamas and other items were found in her carrying bag.

Theft: A 15-speed bicycle valued at $75 was stolen Wednesday at Maple Lane and William Wade Road.

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested when he tried to leave the Value City department store in the 7800 block of Eastern Blvd. Wednesday without paying for clothing valued at nearly $150.

Theft: Police were seeking a man who stole a 35 mm camera, valued at nearly $100, from a house in the 7500 block of Rabon Ave. Wednesday.

Theft/arrest: A man, 26, was arrested Wednesday when he attempted to leave the Kmart store in the 200 block of North Point Road without paying for nearly $80 worth of video tapes. Another man was arrested when he left the store without paying for bed sheets valued at $100.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery: After placing a pack of gum on the counter of the 7-Eleven store in the 7100 block of Darlington Road about 9: 25 p.m. Wednesday, a man pulled a handgun, reached into the cash register and took $20.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the 7-Eleven store in the 6300 block of Sherwood Road of $35 about 7: 15 p.m. Wednesday.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: An intruder stole stylish light bulbs from several light fixtures in a house in the 9200 block of Samoset Road on Jan. 5. The burglary was reported Jan. 20.

Woodlawn Precinct

Stolen car: A blue 1991 Chevrolet van with tags 703800M was stolen Jan. 16 in the 6800 block of Security Blvd. The theft was reported Tuesday.
