Man seized, 3 hunted in home invasion and auto theft
WOODLAWN -- A man was arrested and at least three others were being sought in connection with a home-invasion robbery last night, police said.
Police said three men, at least one armed with a handgun, entered a house in the 3100 block of Cambridge Drive about 9: 15 p.m., bound three occupants and stole an Acura automobile and other property.
On Bancroft Road in Northwest Baltimore, city and county police spotted the Acura, stopped it and arrested the occupant.
Police seeking information on sexual assault of woman
TOWSON -- County police are asking the public's help in locating three men who assaulted a woman last month, seriously injuring her.
The victim was abducted from the parking lot of Nick's Bar on Liberty Road early Dec. 4. She was beaten around the face, sexually assaulted and her ear was slashed with a knife, police said. Her abductors left her unconscious and partially clad in Leakin Park.
The men were driving a charcoal gray or black older Nissan Maxima with tinted windows. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-887-2198 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888. A reward of $2,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Registration ends Jan. 29 for college's spring session
ESSEX -- Students have until Jan. 29 to register for the spring session at the Essex campus of the Community College of Baltimore County.
Walk-in and telephone registration is available for the session, which begins Feb. 1.

Police need help identifying assailant in fatal shooting
Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who fatally shot a Southwest Baltimore resident in an alley Wednesday.
Detective Donald Gordon said witnesses saw a man run from the alley off the 1800 block of W. Saratoga St. after Dontaye McCree, 26, was shot about 5 p.m. McCree, of the first block of N. Culver St. in the South Hilton section, was shot several times in the upper body. Anyone with information should call 410-396-2100.
Essex man, 30, arrested in September homicide
A man charged in a warrant with first-degree murder in a September slaying in Canton was arrested yesterday, authorities said.
Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and city homicide detectives arrested Christopher Franklin Adolph, 28, about 11 a.m. at his home in the 1400 block of Winter Park Circle, Essex. Adolph is being held without bail at the Central Booking and Intake Center. Police said Adolph is charged with fatally shooting William T. Gunter, 30, of the 100 block of W. Saratoga St. Sept. 23.
