Alabama: OL Mookie Moore transferred to Troy State.

Florida: Named Jon Hoke defensive coordinator.

Maryland: M Keith Beach was named one of 11 MVPs by Soccer America. Brandon York was named Co-Wrestler of the Week by ACC. Gymnast Gillian Cote was named Player of the Week by East Atlantic Gymnastics League. Pole vaulter Jaime Dorshimer was named Performer of the Week by ACC.

Michigan: Suspended OL Jason Brooks and FB Ray Jackson indefinitely for violating team rules.

Utica: Named Tim Nelson, who resigned at Dartmouth last year, men's lacrosse coach and men's assistant soccer coach.

NFL: Named following Players of the Week: Jets WR Keyshawn Johnson, Vikings DB Robert Griffith and Jets K John Hall.

Chargers: Added Paul Chryst and Mark Banker to coaching staff.

Panthers: Named Bill Musgrave quarterbacks coach.
