Double homicide in East Baltimore is first this year

Two men were shot and killed early yesterday in East Baltimore, the city's first double homicide of the year.

Detective Bobby Patton said the men were each shot in the upper body while in the 1800 block of N. Milton Ave., between North and Lafayette avenues, about 1: 25 a.m.

The victims, identified by police as Brice Edwin Shufford, 35, of the 3800 block of Elmora Ave. and James Victor Henderson, also 35, of the 3500 block of Chesterfield Ave. were pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they had no suspect and knew of no motive for the killings.
