Woodworking seminars Jan. 22-24 at Cow Palace

"Bending and Curving Wood," "Finishing Basics," "Successful Furniture Joinery" and "Furniture Construction" will be taught at four all-day seminars during the Baltimore Woodworking Show Jan. 22-24 at the Maryland State Fair Cow Palace, 2200 York Road, Timonium.

The show will also include 29 mini-seminar demonstrations. Lasting from 15 to 30 minutes, the classes will include table saw techniques and a variety of woodworking skills.

The latest in hand and power tools, machinery and supplies that can be purchased at "special show prices" will be on display.

Show hours are noon to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $7 for adults, free for children 12 and under. The all-day seminars are $95 each or $125 when registering at the show. Call 800-826-8257 for more information.

Toll Brothers Web site honored for quality

Toll Brothers Inc., a national builder of luxury homes, reports that its Internet site received a 1998 "Standard of Excellence Award" from the Web Marketing Association.

More than 500 firms competed for WebAwards for corporate Web sites. Toll Brothers was recognized for "its design, ease of use and informative format."
