Baltimore police arrest four, seize drugs in Belair Road raid

Drug enforcement officers from the Northeastern Police District raided a Belair Road apartment yesterday and arrested four people.

The officers, acting on information from citizens concerned about drug trafficking along the Belair Road corridor, seized $28,000 worth of suspected cocaine, $35,000 cash in two gym bags and two firearms in the 4: 30 p.m. raid.

Sgt. William Sekinger, head of the district's drug unit, said each of the four was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and illegal possession of firearms -- a .223 caliber rifle and a .22 caliber handgun.

Arrested in the apartment in the 4800 block of Belair Road and awaiting bail hearings at the Central Booking and Intake Center today are Ronald Eugene Holder, 22, Larry Serrod, 20, and his brother, Antonio Serrod, 16, all residents of the apartment. Also arrested was Troy D. Smith, 19, of the 2000 block of Robb St. Antonio was charged as an adult.

Sekinger said several packages of suspected cocaine were found throughout the apartment. On the kitchen table, police said, were paraphernalia used to package the drug.
