Freshman guard Lauren Durkin scored 17 as eighth-ranked College of New Jersey (10-0) ended No. 20 Salisbury State's (6-2) winning streak at five games with a 58-43 win in women's basketball last night in Salisbury.

Frostburg State 63, Villa Julie 42: Shannon Rexrode's 17 points led the Bobcats (4-4) over the visiting Mustangs (2-6).

Bowie State 63, North Carolina Central 39: Rashida Brooks and Deidra Fields each scored 12 to power the host Bulldogs (10-2, 5-1) past the Eagles (7-4, 3-1) in Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association action.

Men

North Carolina Central 73, Bowie State 63: Jimmy Boston, Brett Harper and Warren Bell each scored 16 to power the Eagles (5-4, 2-2) past the host Bulldogs (1-11, 0-6) in the CIAA.
