BWI partnership wins communications award

A package of marketing materials prepared by BWI Business Partnership Inc. to spur economic development around Baltimore-Washington International Airport has won an international communications award.

MerComm Inc., an independent organization dedicated to establishing and promoting high standards of achievement in international communications, announced that BWI Business Partnership was the recipient of its 1998 International Mercury Award for Promotion and Marketing.

Developed around the theme of "The Spirit of Success," the partnership's marketing package includes a profile of BWI Business District, reports on growth industries flourishing in the region, and targeted market research.

The BWI office of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERA announces it hired agent Stephanie Rick Soulliard of Linthicum. Soulliard joins the office as a new licensee. Soulliard will be based at 529 S. Camp Meade Road. Information: 410-691-1111.

The Fedder Co. of Glen Burnie has announced that Amy F. Pollokoff has joined the company as vice president, director of leasing and marketing. Pollokoff will specialize in leasing commercial properties and direct marketing. The Fedder Co. manages nearly 1.5 million square feet of shopping centers, office buildings and warehouse properties in the Baltimore area and Northern Virginia.
