A body believed to be that of a man swept away while rockfishing with a friend in the Susquehanna River was found yesterday morning, authorities said.

An aerial search found the body along the shore at Susquehanna State Park about 1 1/2 miles south of Conowingo Dam, said Rick McIntire, communications officer of Maryland Natural Resources Police.

``The body was taken to the medical examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy and positive identification,'' McIntire said.

He said the body matched the description of Christopher N. Fedor, 25, of the 5600 block of Leiden Road in Cedonia.

Fedor and Victor John Minoglio, 26, of the 300 block of E. Broadway in Union Bridge were rockfishing in a 12 1/2 -foot kayak Tuesday night. They anchored the kayak about a half-mile south of the dam and, about 7 p.m., a surge of water tipped it over.

Minoglio said a strong current separated the two men. Minoglio, a supervisor with the Census Bureau, was treated for minor injuries and hypothermia.
