Meet Derek Jeter

Derek Jeter is the New York Yankees' most popular player. He is a slick fielder and a solid hitter. "Derek has tremendous talent. The sky's the limit for him," says Yankee second baseman Chuck Knoblauch.

As a kid, Derek always dreamed of playing for the Yankees. In 1996, his dream came true. Derek became the starting shortstop for the Yanks and helped them beat the Atlanta Braves in the World Series. Says Derek, "I'm living a fantasy!" If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?

Mary Pierce, tennis player:

Australia. The people are happy and helpful. The weather is nice. has the best of everything.

Chris Witty, Olympic speed skater:

I'd love to live in northern Italy or Switzerland. I love the Alps. You can always go hiking or skiing. There are so many things to do.

Omar Vizquel, shortstop, Cleveland Indians:

Along the Amazon River. I think it would be really nice. No cars. No noise.

Tim Brown, wide receiver, Oakland Raiders:

Somewhere in Hawaii, like Maui. It's so relaxing and pretty over there. And it's a great place to play golf!
