2-alarm fire damages Glen Burnie restaurant

Fire ravaged the Judges Chambers restaurant in downtown Glen Burnie early yesterday, Anne Arundel County fire officials said.

The two-alarm blaze caused $200,000 in damage to the restaurant on Crain Highway.

The fire was reported about 12: 15 a.m.

Forty-three firefighters extinguished the blaze in about 50 minutes. The cause is being investigated, said Battalion Chief John Scholz.

Smoke entered upstairs offices, but no one was injured.

The exterior of a vacant building south of the restaurant was damaged.

The restaurant opened less than a year ago in the Glen Burnie Town Center.
