Man, 28, fatally shot in Cherry Hill

A man died last night after he was shot on the grounds of a low-rise apartment complex in Cherry Hill, police said.

Detective Marvin Sydnor said Charles Gilmore, 28, of the 3100 block of Oakford Ave. in Northwest Baltimore, was in the 2700 block of Spelman Road at 8: 48 p.m. when a man behind a wall fired several shots, hitting Gilmore once in the abdomen.

Sydnor said Gilmore died at Maryland Shock Trauma Center at 10: 15 p.m.
