New positions

Nurnberg is executive VP at Americom Inc.

Americom Inc., a Lutherville firm that provides services to the wireless communications industry, hired Steven R. Nurnberg as executive vice president of its Wireless Services Group. He will oversee more than 500 employees in 30 states who provide facility and mobile-based equipment installation and removal, repair, upgrading and inventory management. Nurnberg, a Drury College (Mo.) graduate, was president of Golden, Colo.-based Superconducting Core Technologies Inc.

Villa Julie College appointed Christiane Maier as director of corporate and foundation relations and Robert Reed as college store manager.

Maier, a Timonium resident, graduated from State University of New York and was director of development and alumni relations for the College of Education at Temple University. Reed, a graduate of Towson University, resides in Abingdon, and formerly was with Harford County-based Hickory Sales.

PHH Vehicle Management Services named Michael J. Fisher vice president for strategic planning. Formerly an associate at Computer Sciences Corp., where he provided strategic consulting services to clients, he is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy and holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.

Marie Dundas-Kelly joins Eisner & Associates

Eisner & Associates hired Marie Dundas-Kelly as an account supervisor at the Baltimore ad agency. The Boston University MBA graduate formerly was with Boston-based Hill/Holiday Direct and served as an officer in the U.S. Army.

Banking and finance

Edward Gottleib senior VP at Carroll Co. Bank & Trust

Carroll County Bank & Trust named Edward Gottleib senior vice president of retail marketing and director of building and facilities for its Mason-Dixon Bancshares unit. Among the new duties of the Loyola College MBA graduate will be administration and planning activity of the retail marketing department, and managing design and construction of the new bank operations center and parking facility.

Commercial real estate

Georgelakos a principal of KLNB in McLean, Va.

KLNB Inc. announced that Andrew J. Georgelakos has been selected a principal of the Towson-based regional commercial real estate services firm. A University of Baltimore law graduate, he will be responsible for the operations of the firm's McLean, Va., office, and will specialize in office and industrial property leasing.

A resident of Glen Arm, he is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors, the International Development and Research Council, and the Greater Washington Association of Realtors.

Legal services

Coons rejoins Ober/Kaler in health law department

Ober/Kaler announced that Thomas W. Coons rejoined the firm as a shareholder practicing in the firm's health law department.

Coons returned to Ober/Kaler after more than 18 years with the Health Care Financing Division of the Department of Health and Human Services. He was senior adviser and litigation counsel to the Health Care Financing Administration. A law graduate of Georgetown University, he is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, and the Maryland, Virginia and D.C. and American Bar associations.

State Bar Association elects Johnson treasurer

The Maryland State Bar Association's Board of Governors elected Harry S. Johnson, a partner with Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP, as treasurer. The first African-American elected to the board, Johnson will assume the treasurer's post in June.

Johnson, who holds undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Maryland, is chair of the ethics committee at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, where he specializes in product bTC liability, mass tort, professional liability law and complex civil litigation.

Health care

Patricia Matthews director at Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente has appointed Patricia Matthews divisional director of community relations. Before joining the nonprofit health plan, she was senior economic development consultant for D.C. Agenda, and was vice president for programs and planning at the National AIDS Fund.

A graduate of George Washington University, she is a member of the board of Leadership Washington and a founding member of the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington.
