Commissioners to present 'State of the County' plans

The Carroll County Board of Commissioners will present the "State of the County: Plans for 1999 and Beyond" at the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce's general membership luncheon Jan. 14.

Commissioners Julia Walsh Gouge, Robin Bartlett Frazier and Donald Dell will discuss the county -- its present and future -- and answer questions from chamber members.

Luncheon will be served at 11: 30 a.m. and costs $15. Reservations are required by Jan. 11.

The monthly Business After Hours meeting will be held 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Winchester Country Inn, 111 Stoner Ave., Westminster.

Refreshments will be provided by Wilhelm Ltd. Caterers, which has entered into a partnership to cater all special events at the historic inn.

Tours of the inn will be available.

Reservations are required by Jan. 12.
