Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southern District

Burglary: Several pieces of jewelry and a videocassette recorder, all valued at more than $4,200, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 1300 block of Pontiac Ave.

Theft: A laptop computer and 60 compact discs, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Saturday from a 1984 Nissan Stanza parked in the 800 block of Leadenhall St.

Robbery/arrests: A man was in the 1100 block of W. Cross St. about 7 p.m. Friday when a man and woman robbed him of a diamond necklace valued at nearly $300. Minutes later, police arrested two suspects and recovered the property. Charged with robbery are Talondo Short, 27, of the 2600 block of Puget St. and Sharon Jennings, 31, of the 1400 block of Cliftview Ave.

Southwestern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed B. J.'s Market in the 3100 block of Stafford St. of more than $200 about 4 p.m. Saturday.

Theft/arrest: A man was arrested Saturday after he stole eight bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey valued at more than $120 from Windsor Mill Liquors in the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road.

Assault: A woman and her live-in boyfriend were arguing in their home in the 3200 block of Leeds St. on Saturday when the man threw a pot of hot soup at her, burning her arm. He then struck her with his fist and pushed her down a flight of stairs. The woman was not seriously injured, and the man was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.

Theft/arrest: A woman, 43, was arrested Saturday when she attempted to leave the Giant food store in the 4600 block of Edmondson Ave. without paying for bath soap, shampoo and other items. Officers found a small quantity of suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine and cocaine paraphernalia in her possession. She was charged with theft and possession of suspected narcotics.

School burglary: Someone entered Belmont Elementary School in the 1400 block of N. Ellamont St. over the weekend after breaking a door window with a brick. The intruder went into a library closet containing several computers and other electronic equipment, but it was not known if any property was missing.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: Two men, one with a handgun, robbed the Dollar General store in the 8600 block of Philadelphia Road of cash about 3 p.m. Saturday. The gunman threatened to kill a female clerk, and another female employee was tied with a telephone cord.

Burglary: Two ice-making machines and an ice chest, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen between Dec. 14 and Saturday from Brain Freezers, a snowball stand at Golden Ring Mall in the 6400 block of Rossville Blvd.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Computer equipment, a fax machine and a printer, all valued at more than $2,400, were stolen Friday from Century 21 in the 3100 block of E. Joppa Road.
