Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Southwestern District

Bank robbery: A man, who gave a teller a holdup note, robbed the First Union Bank in the 3200 block of W. North Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 9 a.m. yesterday.

Theft: Tools valued at more than $1,000 were stolen from two vans parked in the 3200 block of Lohrs Lane on Wednesday.

Western District

Burglary: Police were seeking two men who entered a house in the 2100 block of Pennsylvania Ave. through a third-floor window Wednesday and stole a television, stereo equipment and a cable TV box, all valued at nearly $900.

Southern District

Theft: A first-aid kit, compact discs and a cellular phone, all valued at more than $700, were stolen Wednesday from a 1999 Chevrolet truck parked in the first block of E. Lee St.

Eastern District

Shooting: A man, 18, was riding a bicycle in the 2300 block of Harford Road about 7: 40 p.m. Wednesday when another man shot him in the left buttock. The victim was in fair condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Theft: Someone entered a 1991 Chevrolet Astro van parked in the 1000 block of Brentwood Ave. on Wednesday and stole $200 worth of popcorn.

Northern District

Burglary: Copper piping, an electric heater and two sinks were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 2100 block of N. Calvert St.

Robbery/arrest: A man armed with a BB pistol robbed the Royal Farms store in the 200 block of W. Cold Spring Lane of $146 and nearly 50 state lottery tickets about 9: 45 p.m. Wednesday. Shortly afterward, a suspect, 33, was arrested near the store and the pistol and property recovered. Armed robbery charges were pending against the suspect.

Parkville Precinct

Bank burglary: A videocassette recorder and a 27-inch television, all valued at more than $500, were stolen from the employee training room in the basement of Provident Bank of Maryland in the 8200 block of Harford Road overnight Monday. There was no forced entry.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: A male, 16, was in the 7100 block of Rodgers Court about 3 p.m. Wednesday when another male youth struck him with a baseball bat and robbed him of clothing and other property, all of unknown value. The victim sustained minor injuries.

Robbery: After a woman, 75, exited a cab in the 8700 block of Loch Raven Blvd. about 6 p.m. Wednesday and withdrew $250 from an ATM, she got back into the cab and was robbed by a male passenger, who fled on foot.
