Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: Burglars kicked open the door of a home Monday morning in the 3500 block of Ida Drive and pulled down posters.

Ellicott City: Burglars entered a home in the 4800 block of Avoca Ave. on Monday. They ransacked one room, but apparently nothing was taken.

Elkridge: Burglars entered a room at the Executive Motel in the 6500 block of Washington Blvd. and stole two televisions Monday.

Long Reach: Burglars broke a basement door window of a home in the 5100 block of Scarecrow Court on Monday, climbed over a freezer and stole a computer and printer.

Long Reach: Someone entered the rear garage of a home in the 5500 block of Phelps Luck Drive on Monday and opened cabinets, but took nothing.

Woodstock: Prowlers tried to open a door of a house in the 2700 block of Thornbrook Road on Monday, but could not get inside.
