O's sell 10,000 tickets in the first 10 minutes

The Orioles sold more than 10,000 tickets in the first 10 minutes that individual game tickets for the 1999 season went on sale yesterday. Club officials expected to sell approximately 60,000 tickets with phone sales available through 9: 30 p.m.

Lines began forming outside the Orioles Box Office at Camden Yards early Friday morning for tickets that went on sale at 9 a.m. yesterday. Through 4 p.m., the Orioles had sold 52,661 tickets.

Tickets will be on sale today from noon to 5 p.m. For information, call 410-685-9800.
