R.D. Maynard, oldest living graduate of St. John's College, Annapolis, attended a meeting of workers attempting to raise a $300,000 alumni fund. Mr. Maynard graduated in 1862. -- The Sun, Nov. 8, 1923.

An underdog Navy football team played Army to a scoreless tie for the first time in the history of their rivalry. The battle was staged in a sea of mud. -- The Sun, Nov. 25, 1923.
