Engineers Club series to tackle education

"Excellence and Innovation in Education" is the subject of today's discussion in The Engineers Club's Speaker Series at the historic Garrett-Jacobs Mansion, 11 W. Mount Vernon Place.

The event begins at 8: 30 a.m. with a panel discussion featuring area educators such as David Clapp, principal of the Barclay School, and Ellen Kelly, head of the Jemicy School.

Nancy S. Grasmick, state superintendent of schools, will be the luncheon speaker. Admission is $22. Information: 410-539-6914.
