Student of the Week

November 18, 1998

To show students that doing well can bring them recognition, the Citizens Advisory Committee of Quarterfield Elementary School has asked The Sun to help publicize its Student of the Week. Winners of the honor must write about themselves.

My name is Doug Farrell and I am 10 years old. I am in the 5th grade at Quarterfield Elementary School. I collect many things like cool-looking bottles, baseball cards, football jerseys, sand animals, and blue jay feathers. In my spare time I usually count my baseball cards or just look at them. My favorite foods are steak and pizza. My most favorite sports are soccer and $H baseball. I have a dog, a bird and two cats. When I grow up I might be a baseball player or a soccer player. I have a brother and a sister and a lot of cousins. I am a very busy person.
