Willie Mason Jr., 39, flight attendant and account executive

Willie Mason Jr., a former flight attendant and account executive for a Baltimore radio station, died Sunday of kidney failure at Mercy Medical Center.

He was 39 and lived in Northwest Baltimore.

He joined Continental Airlines in 1990 and retired last year because of health reasons.

Earlier, he was an account executive at WEEB Radio from 1984 to 1990.

The Cherry Hill native graduated from Carver Vocational-Technical High School in 1976 and joined the Army, serving until 1979.

He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Morgan State University in 1984.

He was active in Omega Phi Omega and Phi Beta Sigma fraternities.

Services for Mr. Mason will be held at 10: 30 a.m. tomorrow at New Psalmist Baptist Church, 4501 Old Frederick Road.

He is survived by a brother, Nathan Greene of Claremont, N.J.; three sisters, Caroline Miller, Janet Henderson and Patricia Ann Burns, all of Baltimore; two aunts, Beatrice Cannon of Chester, Pa., and Johnnie Mae of Norfolk, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
