Marlins: Signed free-agent OF DaRond Stovall, who played with Expos, to minor-league contract; invited him to major-league camp as non-roster player.

Pirates: Named former Oriole Marty Brown manager, Scott Lovekamp pitching coach and Jeff Livesay coach of Double-A Altoona; named Curtis Wilkerson manager, former Orioles minor-league P Blaine Beatty pitching coach and Ramon Sambo coach of Single-A Williamsport; Scott Little manager and Jim Bibby pitching coach of Single-A Lynchburg; and Tracy Woodson manager, Doc Watson pitching coach and Ben Oglivie coach of Single-A Hickory.
