Church's annual bazaar to feature sweets, Santa

THE FLURRY OF pre-holiday autumnal activities in the Pasadena area continues.

The United Methodist Women of Pasadena United Methodist Church open their annual two-day church bazaar at 4 p.m. today in the Fellowship Hall, 61 Ritchie Highway. The bazaar continues from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow.

"All of the familiar favorites will be back at this year's bazaar," said Sara Titus, group spokeswoman.

Crafts, basement bargains, attic treasures, house plants and goodies from the Sweet Shop will be available. A Children's Land will offer visits with Santa, and a turkey dinner will be served.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 3 to 10.

Month of Sundays

The last two events in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church's "Month of Sundays" celebration take place this weekend.

An ice cream social will be held at 7 p.m. today. Visitors can make sundaes for $3 per person.

The Rev. Frederick Ramsay, the church rector, will present workshops from 10: 30 a.m. to noon and from 1 p.m. to 2: 30 p.m. tomorrow on the history and symbolism of icons and demonstrate the painting of these ancient religious art forms.

Women's luncheon

Jenkins Memorial Church in Riviera Beach will hold a Christian women's luncheon from 11: 30 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow at the church.

The cost is $10 and includes a hot buffet. Craft time will be held. The Rev. Karen Turnell will be the speaker.

Grandparents Day

Hundreds of grandparents are expected at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic School Nov. 20 for the annual Grandparents Day celebration.

Visiting grandparents may register in the parish hall at 8 a.m.

Classroom visits will be from 8: 30 a.m. to 10: 15 a.m., to be followed by Mass at 10: 30 a.m. and a band concert at 11: 30 a.m.

The children will be dismissed at noon.

Christmas party

The Pasadena Business Association will sponsor its annual Christmas party from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Earleigh Heights fire hall on Ritchie Highway.
