Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 3700 block of Grosvenor Drive: A burglar entered a house by breaking a basement window Tuesday and stole video equipment.

Jessup: 7500 block of Washington Blvd.: A burglar entered a home by prying open a basement door and stole tools worth $2,000 Tuesday night.

Elkridge: 6300 block of Orchard Club Drive: Thieves entered a home by prying off a bathroom window and stole a television, videocassette recorder and radio Tuesday.

Ellicott City: 9150 block of Baltimore National Pike: Prowlers tried to pry off a rear door of Philadelphia Style Pizza and Subs on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning but could not get in.
