Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Robbery: A woman was in the 1500 block of N. Lakewood Ave. about 8 a.m. Monday when a man known as "Isaac" twice asked to drive her 1995 Honda Passport with tags 832837M. The woman refused and as she walked away, the man placed his right hand in his coat pocket and implied he had a handgun. He then snatched the vehicle's keys from her and drove off.

Stolen vehicle: A white 1998 Ford cargo van with Oregon tags VMC 794 was stolen Monday in the 4900 block of Pulaski Highway.

Burglary: Clothing valued at nearly $300 was stolen Monday from Risque Fashions in the 500 block of Oldtown Mall.

Southern District

Robbery: A woman, 26, was in the first block of Gittings St. about 9: 25 p.m. Monday when two men, one armed with a box cutter, knocked her to the pavement and robbed her of $10.

Theft from vehicle: A briefcase valued at $400 and containing papers and checks was stolen Monday from a 1998 Volvo parked in the 500 block of W. Pratt St.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A woman was entering an apartment building in the 3400 block of Oakfield Ave. about 11 p.m. Monday when a man shoved her and stole her purse containing $20.

Stolen car: A brown 1983 Pontiac with New Jersey tags FNB 645 was stolen in the 3900 block of Bowers Ave. over the weekend.

Northern District

Burglary: A videocassette recorder and jewelry, all valued at $400, were stolen Monday from a house in the 2900 block of N. Charles St.

Theft: Police arrested a man Monday who attempted to leave the Giant food market at the Rotunda Mall in the 700 block of W. 40th St. without paying for candy and other items, all valued at $70.

Stolen car: A green 1996 Hyundai with tags SWA 332 was stolen Monday in the 6100 block of Edlynne Road.

Woodlawn Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the first block of Mountain Green Circle through a rear basement window Monday and removed $300 from a bedroom.

Stolen car: A 1993 Nissan 300ZX convertible with tags CGD 712 was stolen yesterday in the 1700 block of Rolling Road.

North Point Precinct

Theft/arrests: Two East Baltimore women, one 40 and the other 19, were arrested Monday when they attempted to leave the J.C. Penney store in the 7700 block of Eastern Ave. without paying for clothing and accessories, all valued at more than $600.

Vandalism: Police were seeking two Dundalk males who threw bricks at a 1998 Ford Escort parked in the 800 block of Loalan Ave. on Monday, causing nearly $500 damage.

Burglary: A lawn mower valued at nearly $230 was stolen Monday from a shed in the 1700 block of Crescent Road.

Towson Precinct

Burglary: Two diamond rings of unknown value were stolen from the bedroom of a house in the 600 block of Overbrook Road Sunday by someone who entered through a rear door.
