If you want to find who's ahead in state and local races, the Internet and your telephone can help tonight with up-to-date election news.

SunSpot, The Sun's Web site, will provide continual updates, while results of statewide, congressional and top local races will be available by phone from Sundial.

While most counties will post unofficial results on the Web by tomorrow morning, a handful of jurisdictions -- including Harford County -- will start putting returns online after the polls close at 8 p.m.

Elsewhere, major news organizations, candidates and nonprofit groups will be updating their Web sites as the evening wears on.
