November 01, 1998

All living players from the Baltimore Colts' 1958 world championship team are expected to attend the 40th reunion banquet Nov. 19 at Martin's West. Also, four members from the New York Giants, the team the Colts defeated in the first sudden-death game ever played, have announced plans to be present for the event.

Former Giants Roosevelt Brown, who played at Morgan State, Andy Robustelli, Kyle Rote and Dick Modzelewski, a former University of Maryland tackle, will be introduced. Present Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi, who once held the same position with the Colts, also will attend.

Tickets for the reunion and banquet may be ordered by calling 410-547-6105.

On Wednesday at 8 p.m., ESPN2 will show a 90-minute feature highlighting game action. The same show will later be shown on ESPN.

Home Box Office, with Baltimorean Frank Deford as narrator, will present its anniversary tribute on Nov. 17.
