Family center schedules beginning computer class

The Carroll County Family Center is offering an "Introduction to Computers" class at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Nov. 10, 17 and 24 in the center's computer lab.

The class is open to Family Center participants, but no child development service will be available. Registration is required.

Clients are welcome to help create a batch of Friendship Stew, starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Participants should bring a vegetable for the stew.

Road bureau announces work schedule for week

The Carroll County Bureau of Roads Operations has announced road work for this week:

Shoulder work: Tyrone Road from Benson Road to Cross Section Road; Kump Station Road from Stone Road North to Stone Road; Melville Road from Oakland Mills Road to Haight Avenue; Haight Avenue from Oakland Road to Melville Road; Lakeview Drive from Haight Avenue to the cul-de-sac; Jim Bowers Road from Bartholow Road to the end of paving.

Curb work: Manor Drive from Woodbine Road to Streaker Road.

Patching: Nubian Court from Toggenburg Drive to the cul-de-sac.
